Lace!

Though black is one of my favorite colors, I think one should be careful while dressing head to toe in it. The key to success is texture. You can make a monochrome outfit look interesting by playing with different kinds of fabric, for example: velvet+chiffon or lace+leather!

I have this wonderful lace dress for a while, but I was on a hunt for a pair of boots to wear with it. The thing is I wanted to bring its evening look down by pairing it with a really masculine, military style looking boots. To wear it in a “right” way with stilettos is just too boring for me!

A Girlie Girl!

What to you usually wear, when you are not in the mood of dressing up or simply don’t have much time to spend on your outfit? Many people just wear jeans and a t-shirt, which is probably o.k., but what if you want more?

I found a perfect solution. One piece cloth! A good dress preferably!
When I’m not into the mood for layering, I simply through on a dress and add some cute accessories like this lovely headpiece. Done!

Favorite nail color of the moment…

The Perfect Sunday!

As the weather stays warm and sunny, we decided to make a short trip down the coast! Cyprus is a place with beautiful nature and gorgeous scenery.

I decided to play with fabric patterns in my outfit: I love stripes and floral print together. A green bag added a splash of color to my black and white outfit.

I finally could wear my little Asos bag! I love its vintage look! Usually, I prefer huge totes as I tend to carry a lot of stuff with me and small bags just don’t fit my daily routine.

This is one of my favorite vintage belts, I’ve got it a year ago and it’s been an irreplaceable accessory in my wardrobe ever since!

The Hat!

I’ve been dreaming about getting a hat like that for a while now, and I almost screamed when I finally got one. It was so easy to style it: think about 70’s hippies or J.Lo back in 2001 during MTV awards.

The double belt is another long dreamed purchase.

70’s fashion is so rich with different accessories; I thought that it’s perfect to mix a couple of Indian-style vintage necklaces.

Vintage Finds!

I love vintage! I love its uniqueness (you will hardly find someone else wearing the same bag or dress), I love its value (if it was in fashion 20, 40 years ago and it still rocks, it’s definitely worth something!) and, of course, I love the challenge that it brings (to search for that special piece, to go through piles and piles of trash and finally dig something truly amazing brings a great satisfaction to me!).

These are some of my recent purchases.

These are some of my recent purchases.  Costume jewelry is amazing! I love every piece of it!  Statement necklace definitely is my favorite part of jewelry. If you have something huge and impressive around your neck, keep everything else simple, you don't need anything else! Be sure you look cool ;-)!

I found this book full of amazing photographs at my husband’s office. It features works of such great photographers like Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz, Barbara Morgan and many, many others.

Photography is such a great thing! It allows you to capture different scenes, objects and people the way only you can see them, to show them from your individual angle and to share the beauty with other people!

Here are some works that I’ve done during my photography course at college! I hope you'll like them!

Have a great week!

It's A Boy Thing!

As it’s getting colder in Cyprus, I finally have the opportunity to wear my new brogues that I’ve got a couple of months ago and that tend to be a huge trend now. I think, brogues can be very elegant solution if you want to add a smart touch to your casual outfit, but still feel comfortable. Just add socks for even more masculine look and feel your power!;-)

I was lucky to find a perfect background for this shoot. This retro car is gorgeous! I think that in the past gangsters were driving cars like that. They were wearing brogues, listening to jazz music, holding their gun in one hand and someone like Veronica Lake in another!

Back to 60’s!

What’s your favorite fashion decade? What style inspires you most of all and influences the way you dress? I’m really obsessed with 60’s. Its bold colors and simple cloth really stand out from everything else! My favorite style icon ever is Jackie O.! From her I inherited love for huge, oversized shades!

New In Town!

Hello, dear friends! After a year of being obsessed with other people’s blogs I finally decided to have my own! It’s going to be pretty much about different things like art, photography, DIY projects and etc. but, mostly, of course, it will be about fashion and personal style: two things that captured me long time ago FOREVER!
